Hi.

1829 means
-1829 Cannot open file citoxmsg.pam.

The file citoxmsg.pam is missing from the directory $INFORMIXDIR/msg.

Is this exists in your $INFORMIXDIR/msg ?

Hello,

I've just installed Informix Connect 2.81 on a Windows XP Pro PC.
When I try to connect to a database server with DBPING (Native Connect), I
get a -1829 Error message.

Established anomalies :
1) DBPING, Native connect tab, Login information section
=> When I choose my default server in the Informix server combo
box
and click on the Lookup button I get Informix server "myserver"
not found
in registry.
myserver is declared as default server with "Setnet32"

2) When I input all login informations manually and click on the Native
Ping
button, I get :
Recieved sqlcode=-1829

3) Find Error Utility
When I try to launch Find error to get information about the -1829
error
message I get
the message :
Unable to find IBM Informix Error Message file!
Check environment variables INFORMIXDIR and DBLANG

INFORMIXDIR is well defined in setnet32.

All TCP/IP tests are OK.
When I try my login information on another PC, all is OK.

Any idea ?

Hi again.

If you are setting INFORMIXDIR is "c:\program files\informix....",
change INFORMIXDIR to "c:\progra~1\informix.....".

Regards.
