IBM, AMD and Novell Team on Linux Offering for Informix Dynamic Server
Yes, I read this one back then. Been thinking of asking about it on the
list too.

Will there be a pretty SLES rpm provided for SLES10SP1 by Novell or IBM?
And really, IBM could have done that earlier too but still ship a tar
ball with a java installer, one version actually had "REDHAT" in the
file name of the linux package.

So WTF is this about?

I'm already using SLES and IDS. Works great btw.

I mailed someone at IBM Worldwide when this first came out, as we sell a lot
of IDS on Linux. I thought it was Cindy Fung but I can't find the reply
now, so perhaps it wasn't. In particular I wanted to know whether this
would be a truly packaged bundle, or if it would just have promotional
pricing for IDS sold with SuSE. At that the time the details had yet to be
worked out and I have to say that I've seen nothing since. So we've carried
on selling RedHat.

If someone from IBM is reading and can tell us what happened to this
initiative it would be great, thanks.
