Oxow,

"Outstanding Requests" are requests to clean some page that have to be
worked on by the btree cleaner. They are issued after some index key got
deleted.

An "Invalidation Request" is a request to cancel an outstanding request.
This is done for example when an index with outstanding requests is
dropped or when btree pages with outstanding requests are merged.
