Default OAT - DB_LOCALE error - 05-19-2010 , 05:29 PM

Im trying to connect to my database through OAT and I get the following error:

Connection Failed... -23101 Unspecified System Error = -23101.

I understand that it has to do with DB_LOCALE, but I can't seem to get the settings to match between my server (Linux) and OAT (Windows).

How do you determine what the DB_LOCALE is on the server side when it is not specifically set in the environment?

Thanks
Laurie

Hello,
I always get it using dbaccess utility, over the
Database -> Info -> NLS

But maybe someone has another option, or some internal table (sysmaster
based?)

Best regards.

Hi Laurie,

You may check the database locale in the sysmaster:sysdbslocale
table.

Also, this error (23101) in OAT would typically mean that you need to
install the language supplement, ILS (comes with the CSDK media -
downloadable at http://www.ibm.com/software/data/inf...downloads.html)
in the CSDK/I-Connect directory on the machine where OAT is installed.

Curious, which version of OAT you're using? Non-English databases are
not fully supported in OAT version 2.27 and earlier.

Regards,
Sumanth.
