Default Invalidate View under IDS 10 - 08-23-2005 , 07:34 PM

Greeting All,

Since IDS 10.0.UC3 is out with many excellent features and bug fixes,
does any one know if IDS 10.0 supports invalidate views if parent
object has been dropped. If yes, which catalogue/sysmaster table does
have that info ? Also, upon recreating the parent object can view be
validate again.

Example: T1 is a table and a view V1 is based on T1. If T1 has been
dropped, view V1 gets drop as well (until 9.40).

Thanks.

No; I don't recall seeing that worthwhile suggestion being discussed before.

Thanks Jonathan. I knew that you will be one of many other gurus to
reply my question. Anyway, much appreciated your reply.
