My department has misplaced the CD's for our Informix (9.21 UC5 on Solaris). Is it possible to make a tar file of an existing install and copy it to the new machine in the same directory strucutre. Will that work? Any other creative ways to install that you guys might know of ? For years, this was how we installed SE on Linux. Of course, 9.21 is |

Can you get replacement media from IBM? I imagine so: IBM's streamlined administrative procedures are extermely well geared up for dealing with just such an out-of-the-ordinary request. have you stopped taking the tablets again Neil? |
