Default IBM Wikis - usability question... - 10-29-2010 , 05:56 AM

Hi,

After read the Eric Herber post on the PlanetIDS :
http://www.planetids.com/content/inf...al-white-paper

I
start to digging again over the IBM Wiki Portal... what have nice
contents but also their usability is not nice....

http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/wikis/

On the Wiki dashboard you can found easy two contents about Informix:
- Informix Chat With Lab
- Informix on Campus

If the user remember the IDS acronym means Informix Dynamic Server and not confuse IDS with INTRUSION DETECT SYSTEM (

http://www.google.com.br/search?q=de...ient=firefox-a)
you will found more two pages:
- IDS Case submission
- IDS Interoperability with Other Products

Inside of Informix Solution Portal you can find some nice contents (like eherber post), but is terrible to identify updates on entire portal...* (orI don't figure out how to do)

So, here is my questions :
- Anyone have some tip how to search all content about Informix on the IBM Wikis ?
- There is anyway to configure a RSS or some kind of warning about the updates on the Informix related pages?

The "feed builder" isn't to much smarter to do something like that... if you want to keep the RSS of Informix Portal , you NEED to subscribe of entireInformation Manager because it is under the IM spaces...
And isn't possible to configure the RSS for individual pages or favorites pages..* only for a "space unit" what is 50% I want...

So, the IBM Wikis have a very very nice contents and also very annoying tonavigate and search contents...*
