Just putting out...

Still there several pages on IBM site (US and BR) referencing to
"Informix Dynamic Server" and Enterprise , Workgroup and Express Editions!!
Very very very very confusing for who is starting with Informix now!!!


Yesterday I have downloaded the Innovator-C 11.70 UC2 and receiving a
automatic email from DeveloperWorks :

"Thank you for registering to download Informix Dynamic Server
Enterprise and Developer Edition
<http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/im/ids/learn.html?cmp=dwenu&cpb=dwinf&ct=dwcom&cr=dwcom&c cy=zz>."


Worst of that is, they appoint to this link:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/do...dwcom&c cy=zz

What appear a mix of information of "Informix Dynamic Server Enterprise"
and "Informix 11.70".... here is a quote :

"Download a trial version of Informix Developer Edition 11.7
<http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/im/informix/> or use
Informix Developer Edition on the cloud
<http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/im/ids/cloud.html>. A
trial download is not available for Informix Enterprise Edition."

Well.. off course don't exists a trial of "Informix Enterprise Edition"
because this isn't the name anymore... but exists the trial of Ultimate!!!

The IBM Brazilian site of Informix is worst... they still doing the
official market over the 3 old edition... the links what they appoint
(USA) is wrong ...
The Informix link still bellow of db2!!! whyyyyy??

Is hard to believed the IBM, this huge company, don't have people enough
to update theirs web pages... ok, probably there is a lot and lots of
pages to be updated, and the IBM site is not easy to found some
informations (for us, customers), all is very confusing, for theirs
employees should be worst... but... if them have this difficult , how we
can believed they will gathers new clients of Informix????
They won't spend money with marketing (here in Brazil , at last 24
months I see only one and the first public merchandise of Informix),
they don't update they own product web site... What they want?? Just the
"bloggers" doing the Informix marketing??? If so, at least remove this
wrong pages with old informations of Informix!!! Will help a lot to
avoiding new potential clients researching about Informix make confusing
about the product.


This is the kind of "facts" what IBM disappoint me for the last years...
and just keeping in the same way.... no changes....
