Default How much is Informix stock worth today? - 03-06-2010 , 11:23 AM

Hey!

I was going through my file cabinets and emptying out / shredding old docs that I don't need anymore and I found two stock certificates for Informix shares.
The total number of shares is ~650 shares.

So what's that worth in today's market?
:-)

Note to certain Informixers and IBMers. Don't worry, I didn't shred the good stuff. Most is also saved on CDs and DVDs ;-)
If the life exptenancy is true, you only have ~20 more years to sweat it out provided I don't recopy them on to new disks. ;-)

But hey! What do I know?
Really? ;-)

Well, one thing, I think, you could know ...

.... that some kind of blog or twitter stuff would be the correct
platform for most of your postings that you off-load here.

Because if you would use the correct platform,
then everybody interested could follow closely and dedicatedly
your indispensable insights to all matters of the world.
And everybody else wouldn't have to remove too much
dispensables from their e-mail inboxes.

Regards, Martin

Martin,

If you blog, do they come?
If you twitter do the read?

I've been posting here long before the IIUG gateway existed.
Yes, I'm that old. ;-)

Most of the posts here are frigging boring, with the exception of when OTC goes off on a rant.
No offense, but unless you really want to talk about something interesting, or I don't know...
I mean like writing a UDT that makes a C call to CUDA to handle encryption/decryption on the fly....
Now that would be interesting and something of value.

Then maybe you could talk about the next version of PCI ... ;-)

But that's just security.

There's more but somehow I doubt the "Update statistics" crowd would understand it.

Besides. Its not the technology that will kill Informix er I mean IDS dead.
Its the lack of marketing and sales. But then again, you're right. We'vegot the techies of the customers here and many are not the decision makers..
