how to do a full restore at HDR primary server

ids 9.40 , HDR

Primary & secondary at normal status.

Can I do a full restore 'ontape -r' at primary server.
Is that will affect HDR functioning after ?
Or I should restart the HDR setup steps ?

Restoring the primary will mean having to start again on HDR.
