Dear All, We are moving a server having Informix secondary server from one data centre to another. It is a 5 day process. Version 7.31 , OS HP-UX 11.11 While bringing up the Secondary instance I will check the following: 1) Check for last logical log in the secondary (in online.log file) when secondary went offline or use onstat –g dri in primary. If logical log is present in primary (onstat –l) then automatically sync (onmode -d secondary prim_name ) will happen when we bring secondary up. 2) If in primary the required logical logs are not are present then: Take a latest L0 backup of primary & do a physical restore onstat –p in secondary, then onmode -d secondary prim_name, & bring it up. Q. Are there any other solution. Just the logical log restore from the logical log *backup of primary. 5 days of logical log. Is this possible in version 7.31? Thanks |
