We had not yet upgraded to IDS 9.4 and are still on 9.3. Can we install 4GL
7.32 on IDS 9.3 without any version conflicts or do we need to upgrade to
IDS 9.4 first?

One of our divisions is running fine on IDS 9.4 and 4GL RT 7.32 but we need
the runtime now and have no time to upgrade yet.

4GL v7.32 will work with 9.3, you will, however, have to reinstall
the 9.3 server software after installing 4GL if you install the 4GL
into the same INFORMIXDIR as 4GL installs some older incompatible
shard libraries and message files (yes I know that it's newer, but
it's libs and message files are 7.30 compatible not 9.30
compatible). So, either install 4GL into it's own INFORMIXDIR with
either a copy of the sqlhosts file or set the INFORMIXSQLHOSTS to the
path to the original one, or reinstall IDS after installing 4GL.
