Hi there, We use Informix at work and I'd like to install a version of it on my Ubuntu box at home so I can practise using it. Is there a free single- machine version of Informix that can be downloaded from IBM? I suppose I could always do bookwork at home and then practise at work, but it'd be helpful to have at home to: - learn how to administrate Informix (create users and dbs) - experiment with different queries, etc Many thanks Andrew |

Oh, it's on the tip of my tongue... I don't recall, it has something to do with setting up a link from what it is expecting to what you have. Sorry that's useless. But it is(was) a common occurence that a google of comp.databases.informix should resolve. www.iiug.orgalso has some archives with a search. You might also try the Informix Linux subgroup. That is available via the iug site again - mailing lists. Those archives should be searchable as well. Just out of curiosity, why 9.4? Version 10 is out there as well. j. -----Original Message----- From: informix-list-boun... (AT) iiug (DOT) org [mailto:informix-list-boun...
