Default external restore another server with different chunk name - 09-21-2011 , 08:52 PM

ids version: 11.5 os : redhat as4
(original backup server)
$ onstat -d
Dbspaces
address number flags fchunk nchunks pgsize flags
owner name
4ae5b808 1 0x40001 1 1 2048 N B
informix rootdbs
1 active, 2047 maximum

Chunks
address chunk/dbs offset size free bpages
flags pathname
4ae5b968 1 1 0 1024000 479109 PO-
B- /informix/dev/rootdbs

$ ontape -s -L 0

( restore to another server with same redhat as4 and ids 11.5,
but different chunk location )

$ ontape –p –e –rename –p /informix/dev/rootdbs –o 0 –n /informix/
dev2/rootdbs –o 0

(get the error output)
External restore failed.
The old chunk path (/informix/dev/rootdbs, 0) in the input file does
not exist in the backup.

Is anything wrong with my procedure ?

Presumably, this is not an external restore!

i.e. remove the "-e" option.
