Hi Everyone,

I just checked the Informix downloads page
(http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp...&S_TACT=&S_CMP
=&s=&q=informix ) and found that the Informix Client SDK v2.81 TC-2 was
released.

We're using the TC-1 release and I'm wondering what the difference is? I've
downloaded TC-2 and tried to compare the release docs, but I couldn't find
any real differences. We're only using the ODBC driver at this time in our
applications and I'd rather not go through the effort to distribute this new
version unless I have to.

Any insider info?

There was a bug in 2.81.TC1 where update stats were sent with the query
automatically if you use the ODBC drivers supplied in the product. This was
fixed in 2.81.TC2. This is one of the major differences I know of ...

Primarily bug fixes. And in case you are using the right IDS version, you
could also make use of the support for PAM feature in ESQL/C and ODBC,
that was included in the CSDK2.81.xC2 release. The release notes for
ESQL/C and ODBC have a mention of this feature.
