Hi. We converted a database running on HP-UX 11.11 from 9.21 to 9.4 without a problem, but when we ran the script to convert ER, we hit a snag. The error message said "Enterprise Replication should be in a stopped state for conversion/reversion to proceed." The problem is it already was in a stopped state. I tried a "cdr stop" for good measure, but received a message "Enterprise Replication not active" I tried "cdr start", but this is where the catch 22 started: "Enterprise Replication already active" I keep stopping, then starting, then stopping then starting, but so far nothing has changed after an hour and a half of stopping and starting, I'll just keep trying though. If anyone has any ideas or has run into this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated. (O.K. I was kidding about the hour and a half thing) Thanks, Daniel Details: /opt/informix/etc/conv $ ./concdr.sh 9.21 9.4 Starting 'syscdr' conversion ... 'syscdr' conversion failed. For details look in /opt/informix/etc/concdr.out more ../concdr.out Converting 'syscdr' database ... Enterprise Replication should be in a stopped state for conversion/reversion to proceed. For details look in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/concdr.out. /opt/informix/etc/conv $ cdr stop command failed -- Enterprise Replication not active (62) /opt/informix/etc/conv $ cdr start command failed -- Enterprise Replication already active (63) /opt/informix/etc/conv $ |
