Default compiling Informix 4GL and Genero from the same source code - 04-04-2011 , 08:59 AM

I have been trying to convert my existing 4gl programs to Genero. Generally, it has been fairly easy. What I would like to do is use the same sourcecode for both programs. This seems to require that the source code compile under both programs. I notice that there is a preconpiler option from Genero with commands like &ifdef. Is there something similar for Informix sothat I can utilize the differences in 4gl and Genero? Thanks.

Have you considered the C pre-processor, cpp?

fglpp (http://www.4glworks.com/misc.htm#4gl) fits the bill perfectly

I wanted to thank everyone who considered my request and especially to those who responded. I suspect that the preprocessor suggestions are probably the ultimate solutions. However, Mr. Leffler's special commenting options are allowing me to test in the interim. Thanks.
