I install informix ids 10 on: aix 5.3 update 5, and read
/home/informix/release/..../*machi* , install OS system patch named IY66196,
IY..., and I install them.

When I run IDS server a few days, the server report me a error:

user: username@hostname invalid username or password, oserror=12.

Must be restart informix server to modify error, Why?

We had a similar problem. It was loogged with IBM Informix UK Tech Support
under PMR 04123,019,866. although as it was in fact an AIX bug the AIX PMR
eould b more useful, but I can't find it.

A fix has been produced in an epackage called IY91677_53.061127.epkg.Z
