Default Buffers not flushed - 09-29-2010 , 09:46 AM

Is a high number on the buffers not flushed something to be concerned
about?

Fuzzy Checkpoint Completed: duration was 0 seconds, 36941 buffers not
flushed.

If the fuzzy checkpoints are not written to disk (still in memory) AND
your system goes down, you will loose the transactions.
From that standpoint, it is risky to let too many buffers accumulate
in a fuzzy checkpoint (in memory).

BULLSHIT.

The fast recovery mechanism works different when fuzzy checkpoints are
used.
it does not loose transactions. it will take longer to recover.
