Default 4GL To GUI - 08-26-2005 , 08:33 AM

Hi Fellows,
I am looking for a tool that turns the front-end of programs 4gl to user-friendly (GUI), Somebody knows of some tool that makes this work?
I will apreciate any help.
Thanks a lot.

Guido-
You probably need to look at 4Js BDL or Genero. They're at
www.4js.com. Querix has their Hydra product, which is also worth a
look: www.qurix.com. All of these can take an existing 4GL program,
recompile it and turn it into a good looking GUI. IBM's Websphere also
has a product called EGL, but it doesn't allow a direct re-compile, it
does have a conversion tool which gives some assistance in using your
own code.
Good hunting.

Hi Guido

You could try our Querix-Hydra compiler. If you want, I'll send you the URL for
the download of Version 4.2. You simply re-compile your application and run one
of our GUI clients to connect to it (Windows or Java).

If we can't do it within a day, you get it for free. :-)

Best regards
Hubert
