Default Yellowfin Business Intelligence scores well in Dresner Wisdom ofCrowds report - 06-05-2011 , 07:50 AM

International Business Intelligence (BI) vendor, Yellowfin, has been
recognized amongst the world’s elite BI vendors, outperforming
established players and Open Source BI vendors in the latest Dresner
Advisory Services Wisdom of Crowds Business Intelligence Market Study.

The result reaffirms Yellowfin’s reputation as a rising global BI
leader, and positions it as Australia’s foremost BI solution.

The global study ranked vendors on a five-point scale, across 32
criteria, based on: Sales experience, value, quality and usefulness of
product, quality of technical support, quality and value of consulting
services, and whether existing clients would recommend the vendor and
its product to others.

The findings, released mid-May this year and compiled via feedback
from eligible respondents (users with first-hand experience with the
BI vendors and their product/services), compared 16 of the world’s
leading BI vendors and awarded Yellowfin an overall score of 4.23 out
of five. Yellowfin outscored big name players including Qliktech, SAS
Institute, Microstrategy, Oracle, IBM Cognos, Microsoft and SAP
Business Objects along with Open Source offerings Actuate (BIRT),
Pentaho and Jaspersoft.

“This fantastic user-driven feedback validates our focus to keep
making Business Intelligence easy,” said Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie.
“Yellowfin was one of only three vendors that was recommended by 100
percent of survey participants – we couldn’t have received a stronger
endorsement for our people, product and services.”

Yellowfin received scores above both peer (‘Emerging Business
Intelligence Vendors’) and overall averages for several key metrics,
including:

• Sales (Product knowledge, professionalism, contractual terms, after
sales follow-up)
• Product (Online training, ease of administration, overall usability,
ease of installation and third party integration)
• Support (Continuity of personnel, time to resolve problems)
