Default Windows 2000 and DB2 Administrative Privileges - 08-13-2003 , 04:25 PM

Does anyone know whether a user who does not have administrative
privileges on a Windows 2000 computer can successfully manage and
administer a DB2 database? Thank you very much!

Yes, that user can do most DBA actions except for things like installing
DB2.
Just grant him/her DBADM.

Thank you very much -- what about creating new user accounts?

Since DB2 has no user accounts - deferring to the operating system - the
administering user will need the right to create user accounts on the
computer / domain (which does not require being a member of one of the
Administrators groups).
