Default Temporal tables - 03-01-2011 , 03:19 PM

I ran across this:
http://davebeulke.com/db2-temporal-t...ng-a-snapshot-
of-your-business/

The article seems to be about DB2 for z/OS. I have seen many articles
about DB2 v. 10 for z/OS lately, while the next DB2 for LUW seems to be
sorrounded much secrecy. Is it because DB2 v. 10 for z/OS is actually
shipping (while the next DB2 for LUW is still in alpha)?

Does anyone know if the new features in DB2 10 for z/OS will generally
also be in the next DB2 generation for LUW?

DB2 for z/OS and DB2 for LUW are two different products. Some of the
features in V10 of DB2 for z/OS are already in DB2 LUW, and some will never
be (because of the differences in architecture).

I believe that DB2 for LUW V10 is code-named Galileo. Not sure when it would
be available for beta testing (if any).

The last time I signed up for a DB2 alpha test, I had to agree to all
sorts of gag conditions, so no.
