Default Roving failover - 12-27-2010 , 08:38 AM

All,

In the new TSA scripts from 9.5 FP7 there was a new script added:
rovingV95_failover.ksh

For 9.7FP3a, this was listed as an APAR but the documentation behind
it is not accessible. For 9.5 it's not listed. It seems to be disabled
by default in my 9.5FP7 installation, but I'd still like to know what
it's about. Anybody any idea?

By the way, since these scripts are executed as root, isn't using a
fixed /tmp/cluster_nodelist temporary file not sensitive to a local
attack of this kind:

unprivileged_user$ ln -s /opt/ibm/DB2/.../some_important_file /tmp/
cluster_nodelist
