Is there any resource available that can tell me which DB2 versions are still in a production level environment? I'm putting together a presentation of the lifecycle of DB2 for my company, and this question popped up. |

Thanks, Chris If you are interested in what DB2 versions customers are actually using, then download one of The DB2Night Show recordings from this website. They usually take a poll of the audience on such topics. http://www.dbisoftware.com/db2nightshow/ Generally we find that many customers are adopting a "skip-release" |

They usually take a poll of the audience on such topics. http://www.dbisoftware.com/db2nightshow/ Generally we find that many customers are adopting a "skip-release" approach. So that unless specific features drive them the DB2 9.1 customers go up to 9.7 while the 9.5 customers are waiting for DB2 Next. That averages out to a 3-4 year cycle between major release upgrades.
