Title:- Oracle PL/SQL
Location:- Toronto, ON, Canada
Duration: 6+ Months

We are looking for a Oracle Database Programmer with programming 70%
(PL/SQL, triggers, and stored procedures) and with database design
tools (30%) ER/Win OR ER/Studio.

RAC, DSS, OLTP and dataware house experience is a must.

Description:
• 7+ years experience developing relational database using Oracle
• Knowledge and experience with Oracle Server 8i, 9i, 10g, and 11g
• Expert in database programming (PL/SQL, triggers, and stored
procedures)
• Must have experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Forms, Reports
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable OLTP and DSS
database systems
• Solid understanding of Oracle-specific architecture and scalability
features
• Knowledge and experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and related
tools
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS
• Knowledge of SQL Command and Programming
• Advanced knowledge of SMTP
• Experience with Oracle 10g and knowledge of RAC
• Experience with database design tools such as ER/Win or ER/Studio
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related
discipline is required
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to transform complex
business requirements into a successful system design.
• Demonstrated ability to support analysis and decisions with data
• Experience using Oracle*s wait interface to assess and address
performance issues
• Excellent communication skills, which include active listening and
the ability to present complex ideas in concise written and verbal
descriptions which are easily understood by both technical and non-
technical
audiences
• An aggressive problem solver who can provide creative solutions to
complex situations and obtain *buy-in* from those affected
• An independent worker who can take the initiative to define and
prioritize specific goals and objectives
• A team player that works hard, admits his/her strengths and
weaknesses, and has the flexibility to improve by learning new things
• Data warehousing experience preferred
Experience with Oracle replication, streams, and partitioning a plus
