Default Instance is not autostarted after a server reboot... - 07-12-2011 , 07:05 AM

....even though the command:
db2iauto -on <instname>
was executed prior to the server reboot.

Moreover, there are two instances on the same server, one is autostarted
following a reboot and the other one is not.
The registry file clearly shows both instances are configured for autostart
(or at least that they are configured in the same way):
#db2greg -dump | grep "/home/db"
I,DB2,9.7.0.2,db2arh,/home/db2arh/sqllib,,1,0,/opt/IBM/db2/V9.7,,
I,DB2,9.7.0.2,db2inst1,/home/db2inst1/sqllib,,1,0,/opt/IBM/db2/V9.7,,

The problem is recurring (observed on more than one reboot) and is happening
on more than one server (AIX 5.3), regardless of DB2 version/fixpack.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Damir

is there any suspicous items in the db2diag.log? I have no db2iauto
experience as for every system I setup, one of the first thing is to
set this OFF.
