Default how do i undelete a truncated table? - 08-03-2010 , 03:02 PM

I've used Oracle's flashback but we don't have HA in our DB2 9.7.1 UDB
- linux system. We have backups. But restoring this huge database into
another system is going to take tons of hours, even with tablespace
backup.
Is there a log miner or something like flashback in DB2 so we could
use this going forward?

There is a tool called recover expert. I'm not familiar with it, but I
think it does log mining and such.

You can use (buy !) High Performance Unload for DB2.
This tool unloads tables to files "dirty", it bypasses the DB2 engine
so you can unload table date of a table which is "unaccessible".
For your situation: HPU can also unload tables out of a backup file!
This seems to meet your requirements.
