Default FP9: Problem with IMPORT command - 08-26-2003 , 03:27 PM

I'm trying to perform an EXPORT from a DB2 for OS/390 table followed
by an IMPORT against to another DB2 for OS/390 table from a command
window on a machine running DB2 V7 Fixpack 9. The DB2 Connect gateway
that I'm going through is also at FP9. I'm using this process because
the table I'm dealing with contains LOBS which flow quite nicely over
a DRDA data stream.

The EXPORT seems to work fine, however, I cannot get the IMPORT to
work at all. Every attempt to run the IMPORT crashes the command
window (db2bp.exe) and usually results in the error message:

DB21017E The Command Line Processor encountered a system error with
the
frontend process output queue. Reason code = -2498.

Other times a Windows error message box appears with: "The instruction
at "0x6c52adcc" referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not
be "read".

Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else run into this IMPORT
problem with FP9. Any suggestions?

Just FYI - I have a separate machine at the FP6 level where this
EXPORT/IMPORT process works successfully, but I can't use it because
the LOB file naming scheme used at the FP6 level runs out of LOB file
names (more than 999). Thanks in advance.

Please contact IBM Support and open up a PMR. This most definitely looks
like a bug.
