We're in the planning stages for a DB2 upgrade from 8.2 & 9.1 to 9.7 FP3a. *I've never applied a fix pack or upgraded an instance to a newer version. *We're planning an in-place upgrade. *My question is this, *can we load the 9.7 software, then load the 3a fix pack, before migrating the instance and databases, OR, do we load the 9.7 software, migrate the instance and databases, then apply FP3a? Thanks. |

Thanks. Since the server fixpack is a fully functional version of DB2, there is no need to install the base version and upgrade afterwards. |
