Default Yaargh - Need help with Relationship Graph - 01-05-2012 , 11:26 PM

Mac Snow Leopard and Lion. FMP 11.04 Adv.

I can't get this to work to the third level.

Related table with the following fields:
Two Areas with Area Code and name (Z1/North, Z3/South). These are 2
separate fields: code and name.

Each Area has 3 Jurisdictions with Jurisdiction Code and name. These
are 2 separate fields: code and name.

Each Jurisdiction has a number of towns with Town Code and name. These
are 2 separate fields: code and name.

MAIN Table called Subject Identification with fields to match to Area
code, Jurisdiction code, and Town code.
Each drop-down list is based on a field in the Related table.

Problem: (1) On my Subject identification layout based on my MAIN
table, select an Area code from a drop-down list. (2) In the next cell
(not a portal) have only the related Jurisdiction codes appear as
choices in a drop-down list. (3) In the next cell, have only the
related Town codes appear as choices in the drop-down list.

I have no problem with (1) and (2) but can not get (3) to work.

Please feel free to email me directly for more info and diagram.

The dropdown valuelist for (3) should be based on either:
- a direct relationship from MAIN::Jurisdiction to Towns, or
- a valuelist based on related field, showing the Towns table, but be
sure you mark to include only related values AND starting from the
Jurisdiction table
