I came here looking for a solution to the problem indicated in the November 2005 thread, "boxes in checkbox set sometimes do not show up", to wit: "in one layout I get my list of names with boxes next to them, in my other layout the boxes are simply not there. When I select an item from the set of the moody layout field, I see the box highlight momentarily, but then it disappears". The original poster followed up with, "it wasn't the pen width ... but the style button, apparently the boxes were just hidden in the background". I hunted all around for the "style button" but saw nothing relevant, and my field was out in the open with nothing to hide behind. Finally I messed around with the Style menu applied to text formatting. I noticed that although the field's choices (just yes and no in this case) were left aligned on the screen, the text formatting menus indicated they were centered. When I made the field left justified, the radio buttons appeared. I thought I had found the solution, but when I created a new field to test it, the new field did not respond the same. It was indicated as centered yet when when changed to left, the boxes or buttons are missing. If anyone wants to see it I have a sample (FM9, two records, two fields, 155 KB) posted at http://web.me.com/tlmurray/filechute/FM_Fields.fp7 |

Once I set it to black, the radio buttons appeared. |

Once I set it to black, the radio buttons appeared. This is very weird. The problem field is defined as "Flag", which is validated against the Yes/No value list. And the pen color is black. I swear this is true, and I downloaded the file from the server. You *are* talking about the bottom field, correct? Because the top one is Type (but black pen). |
