what is wrong? -

Starting from a existing database (books) i made a new database. It was my intention to make (using copy and paste) a video database. And more, a database where i can insert more items at 1 tape (or disk). Now, using the copy paste method i have the next problem. If i do some inputs the other lines are showing the same input. How can i change that? See the file at http://users.pandora.be/demar/Videotheek.fp7 Tkx 4 any help. |

Might have something to do with the fact that you have 8 copies of the same field (Tracks) on the layout. Go into layout mode, double-click on the fields, and switch them to the one that matches the heading. Tks, for responding. I have done this, but as sone as i click the "ok" buton, there is only 1 field that remains. EG i doubleclick the field and change track into title, click the "ok" button, and the only field that stay's is the first on top of the row. The other 17 fiedls are gone. Yes; the Tracks field is formatted as a "repeating" field and the other ones are not. You must also set all corresponding fields to be repeating as well. You might also try to re-think your strategy. If all these files are alike, I would just add a categoryfield. Ursus |

Create a value list, containing all the values you need create a field put the field on your layout connect the field to your value-list and select menu or radiobuttons or whatever it is you need, When creating a record select the value this record will represent.
