Default what replaced CDML? - 12-05-2005 , 07:49 AM

What set of tags is used to perform the same tasks for versions 7 and 8
databases posted on the web that CDML tags performed for versions 4, 5,
and 6?

XML/XSLT

See the document:

fmsa7_custom_web_guide.pdf on the filemaker website in the documentation
and manuals for FM Server 7, and 7 Advanced.

If your actually setting this up you'll also want to check the
installation documentation; its one of those things where not following
all the steps results in it not working

Note that custom web publishing was kicked up a notch from its
comparative 'mickey mouse' implementation in FM7/FM8, and now runs
through IIS or Apache and requires FM Server Advanced.

FM Server Advanced 8 is not currently available.

Dave

Before you go crazy with XML/XSLT, you shoud probably also check out
FX.php. Over 25,000 individuals have now downloaded FX.php. You can
learn more about FX,php at http://www.fxforge.net and
http://www.fmwebschool.com

FX.php is a free PHP clas written exclusively for FileMaker pro! Our
website http://www.fmwebschool.com runs entirely on FileMaker and
FX.php.

I am going with FX.php and very happy about it.
There are a lot of details to set up before using it, but it does work
just fine.
