Default Web vs client layout - What makes the decision - 03-19-2006 , 07:03 AM

I've been plunking around with FM for a while but have just started
seriously looking into web access.

If you open the 'inventory' template supplied with FM6 there is a 'form'
layout and a 'web form' layout. Is there a flag that detemines which form is
used when I access the database from the web? I can't find one.

I also noticed when I ran a Database Design Report that the web pages had no
references to scripts. Is that a prerequisite for web served forms?

I'll start digging in the manuals for this info but not sure I'll find
anything based on the results I've had from that exercise in the past.

I believe you specify the web layouts for use in the Instant Web
Publishing preferences. The lack of graphics makes them quicker for FM to
render and quicker for users to download.
