Default very very beginner needs help - 08-04-2005 , 01:18 PM

Hi everyone,

My name is Minnie and I have just started a job which requires me to
use filemaker pro - I have been asked to learn xslt and I am quite
confused, as I have never used either before. I have familiarized
myself with filemaker pro sufficiently, but xslt is confusing me. I
have gotten basic xml-xslt-html file conversions to work and display
beautifully, but I don't know how to apply this to working with
filemaker pro.

Basically, there is a database, where I would like to display a few
fields from this database within a webpage. There's a small section
called upcoming events within the website, and I would like to display
the info for upcoming events from the database. My background is just
good ol' html and some php... so I need a little help... How would I go
about doing this?

Thank you,

- Minnie

I don't know if your employer would be interested, but there's a class
coming up later this month in Phoenix that could be helpful (actually two
sessions, before and after DevCon). I'll be attending the earlier one, as I
need to know more about xslt, as well.

If interested, look here:

Practical XML for FileMaker Pro Developers
