Default User inputs token from web form - 07-29-2003 , 10:11 PM

I have the need to have the web user input a variable from a form
field and capture that field information into a token on the web page
to be passed to another page. Some of you may say why? I will explain.
I have a database query returning results - result1, result 2, result
3 - I the user does not see an appropriate choice he may want to input
his own. I would like to have him input his own into a token to be
carried from one page to another. Any suggestions?

In order for the variable to be reused like this, it needs to be
in a database somewhere. I'd be tempted to use a tokne.fp5 database
which isn't used for anything else and then use inline actions
to capture the value and repass as required.

Gte the CDML Reference database from filemaker.com [1] and
see if the syntax examples in there help.

Cheers

[1] Scary, but first attempt at typing that came out filelamer.com

*sigh*
Too long at work
