Default user customised table view? - 07-27-2005 , 09:45 AM

hi all,

is there a way to have a table view but the user can add remove fields
at his/her own discrection. So for exmaple, i made a new layout with
just the table view format and I have some fields showing by default.
But there are other fields some user might want to add and some fields
they might want to remove. Does FM7 give the user the abilty to
customize, or can i add some script or menu to have that happen? thanks

PS: i have to say FM7 just added table view haphazardly. its very
limited in what it can do. for example, the fields that are buttons in
form view are not buttons in table view anymore. There's many other
things I dont understand in that view...

Table view is really only for viewing records in somewhat of a
"spreadsheet." There is no button functionality. You can sort by a
particular field by clicking the field name.

Click and drag the field name to change the order of the columns.

As in other views, add or delete something in Layout.

If you have to be in Layout mode to do it, I would hazard a no.
