Default Troi Activator Plug-In Question - 11-22-2006 , 11:31 AM

11/21/06 06:05 PM - Post#230138

Hi,
I have Troi activator plug-in. I am using the simple "daily activate a
script".....in the demo. I have transferred all fields/script steps etc
into the file and machine that will be activating the script. All
buttons/fields/ etc seem to be working normally except the script does
not execute.
I am wondering if I have a file path problem in the "Schedule It"
script .....maybe some help please

The tutorial has: Get(FileName); "triggerscript";
"123", "abc"

I have entered:
"filename.fp7; "NAME OF SCRIPT"; "123"; "ABC"
and it does not work

I have tried:
"path applications/path FM Server 8/path FM Server 8 data/ path FM
server 8 Databases/filename.fp7"; "NAME OF SCRIPT"; "123"; "ABC"
and it does not work

Should I be using the Get(FileName) function?...or is it the
path?...or?....have anything to do with FM Server 8?..any help would be
appreciated

Jim E

Get(Filename) should work for that entry, but you still have to have the
others exact.

I would hope that your use of "filename.fp7; "NAME OF SCRIPT"; "123";
"ABC" to describe what you entered is just a representation, and doesn't
mean you actually entered those values.

As for the path, you might want to experiment with using colons (
instead of slashes (/) as delimiters. I am not where I can look at an
example I have in mind, but I had an issue which revealed that Troi has
not yet updated all of its plugs to use the Unix format as opposed to
the old Mac format. I can't be 100% sure of that right now, though.

I could be mistaken, but I think Activator requires the triggered script
to be in a file that is already open. As such, no path is required --
just the file name, no extension (.fp7).

Please post for us the full script step, as you don't show what you are
setting as your 'next run' schedule.
