Default Todays Date ? - 01-15-2007 , 01:36 PM

Hi
it sounds simple, maybe it is it.
I need a field which automatically has the todays date.
I want to calculate the stock-runtime=today - buydate

I use fm8.5. In former versions i remember a "today" function which i
miss now. (in german today ="heute")

How do i create a field which returns after fileopen the actual todays
date ?

Hermann

Thx, the point is the english-german translation of functions.
I only find hole (=get) (systemdatum) (=currentdate?)
Systemdatum is todays date but i have to do a loop in a script to
update the currentdate.

Anyway it works but not very elegant

Now i got it.
I used a calc-field (with result date) instead of a date-field for
current date
