i have a To_DO_ table related with the a Preference table ( key field
in the relationship between these tables is : id_constant)
In my homepage i put a portal that allows me to edit the do_list
without having to go the specific navigation tab button but i cannot
make the Done button work properly. The records i put in my portal
appear in the To_Do list except the Done field( check_icon ). I can
only modify it from the To_Do navigation tab, and not from the portal
in my homepage.. can i do it both ways???

are the two layouts defined to the same TOC (table occurance)? If not
then the relationship will not be valid on both.

Yes you can. Make sure the Done field in the Portal is using the correct
Value List and / or running the correct Script.
