Default Text formatting - FM 7.0v3 - 09-19-2005 , 05:43 PM

FM 7.0v3 Win XP

There are several tools to format the text.
E.g. left lined, right lined, centered etc.

By accident (maybe a quick button combination ???) I got a normal
textbox where text is centered in vertical direction. Not starting above
at the first line, but depending how much text, is alined in vertical
direction centered.

Where can I find the defenition tools to center the text in vertically
direction (or to reset to default left upward top setting)?

Can not find it.

The setting you are looking for is in the Format menu under Align Text.

Maybe I was a bit "dumb", but never has seen it before.

Thanks for your answer, found it now (just at quite another place as
expected).

Normally always I am using the right mouse button to get all kinds of
(text) tools. FM is not consistently in this matter. Using the tools
with right mouse button these vertical alignment tools are not found.
Using the menu options at the top **only**, there you can find extra
alignment options for vertical alignment.

You are right. There is a mixture of good and bad in both options of
Format menu and right-click context menu. For example it is much easier
to change fonts using right-click but not so easy to change text
alignment whether horizontal or vertical. I tend to use the format menu
but not for any special reason - just habit.
