Profile: WinXP Pro, FM 6.0.

I have a standard text field placed in the header on two different layouts
in the same file. One layaout I can enter, edit information and do a find
on the field and the other ... no edit or find at all.

I copied the field from the layout I could edit ... and still... nothing.

Any ideas? I thought I had heard I could not edit fields in the header or
footer. Am I just "lucky" I can do it in the layout that I can?

I had noted the behaviour once or twice, but never reproduced it. Wasn't
important enough to actually try tracking down, but I'm glad to know I
didn't imagine it.
