Hi me again... Now that I solve the tab selection, another issue.... I have my calculation field setup to change base on the selected Tab. So when I switch from Tab to Tab my calculation field change (even if the display field has not) but by using script and "display message" I know it changed. The calculation field is used to set a filter with the related database. So when looking in Tab#1 the portal show only related data with all the filter use to my needs, when I click on the next Tab the calculation field change, but the portal stay the same, it's supose to switch with the new filter.... but it don't... Can a Calculation field be use in a relationship ? because when the result change, the relationship is not.... (I don't store the result) Because a use a pop-up list to select manually filter in a portal row and it work, but the key field in the relationship is a global text field..... Thank you JF |

Thank you JF I'm not 100% sure, but I believe if you're going to use an unstored calc field, or a global field, you need to make sure they're in the table you're relating FROM. They can't be used in the table that you want to show in the portal. G |
