Hi me again...

Now that I solve the tab selection, another issue.... I have my calculation
field setup to change base on the selected Tab.

So when I switch from Tab to Tab my calculation field change (even if the
display field has not) but by using script and "display message" I know it
changed.
The calculation field is used to set a filter with the related database.

So when looking in Tab#1 the portal show only related data with all the
filter use to my needs, when I click on the next Tab the calculation field
change, but the portal stay the same, it's supose to switch with the new
filter.... but it don't...

Can a Calculation field be use in a relationship ? because when the result
change, the relationship is not.... (I don't store the result)

Because a use a pop-up list to select manually filter in a portal row and it
work, but the key field in the relationship is a global text field.....

calc field, or a global field, you need to make sure they're in the
table you're relating FROM. They can't be used in the table that you
want to show in the portal.

Yes... that's what I have, I've try both global or calculation field, in the
table (customer) and I link to another table (service call)
In service Call I have a key field to set what type of service call
(Call,Maintenance,call back, installation)

and I whant to display in a portal in each Tab the coresponding list based
on those key field.

It work the first time( so my relationship is good), but when I switch Tab
(the calculation field change) but the portal is not switching with the new
related value.

I go in layout mode, change the Tab, return in Browse mode, so a new Tab is
now the front one, Voila ! the related value have now change to the new
relation field !!

Go figure that out !!
