Same thing : on the G4 do you have TCP/IP chosen in its local FM preferences |

Just to verify : how do you 'open remotely' ? You know that FileMaker has its own way of 'sharing' files among a network, thet may - that will - enter in conflict with the regular OS way of sharing. Therefore, the files to be 'FM shared' have to be in a 'non-OS shared' folder. The thing that worries me in your question is the sentence : "when i try to open with a remote session the db i can see the computer but not the db" which seems to imply that you try to open via the regular OS sharing mechanism instead of the 'FM' ones. To be sure : in FM : hit 'File' then 'Open' then 'Host' and see if you see the FM files. Same thing : on the G4 do you have TCP/IP chosen in its local FM preferences ? hi thanks for your help.... as u can think i have not open these files with regular os network sharing, but as you told i used file, then open then host.... when the files, which ar not in a system folder, are in g3 and i try this procedure with g4 or win2k, clicking on the g3 i can see the files and open them; but if the files are on the g4 (not in a system folder) i can see the host but not the files...... can you explain me this.... Same thing : on the G4 do you have TCP/IP chosen in its local FM preferences I am not very good in fm.... so i don't know this option.... how can i activate it? to what it serves? thanks again "Remi-Noel Menegaux" <rnmenegaux_AT_free.fr> ha scritto nel messaggio news:457311e1$0$23346$426a34cc (AT) news (DOT) free.fr...
