Default Storing of scanned documents - digital library - 01-09-2012 , 02:49 AM

Dear all.

Last year I had a request for a solution with FileMaker 9 for storing a
considerable number of scanned documents. First I try with a container field
in a FileMaker but I give up because of number of documents and a rapidly
growing of a database.
I manage to solve this by FTP server (free) and I make in a Delphi a small
application whic is parametized and this is working OK. I call this
application from Filemaker by a script and this is working OK.
My question is: does anybody know any better solution than FTP?
It is little old and it has some issues with security...
I use Windows OS and sharing in a Windows is not solution becouse the user
can approach files trought network.
Any idea?

One very good solution might be to use Super Container:

It is relatively cheap considering the time you might otherwise spend
putting together a worthy solution from scratch.
