I have recently upgraded from Server 7 to Server 8 on W@K Server. All seems to be fine except 1 of my hosted databases won't open. Trying to force it to open changes the status to checking and then back to closed. I have set max DB's to host well in excess of the number I am hosing but cannot find why this file (which opened fine in V7) should decide not to open. Any ideas really appreciated. I've not seen this problem here (I run server under OSX), but it sounds like file corruption to me... - Steve |

The server won't automatically share single user files. (I think there's an option to force it to host files set to single user -- at least there used to be in 5/6. Not sure offhand if it still exists or where it is in 7/8. -dave |

Thanks for the advice guys. I did run recovery on the file and it opened fine. Seems strange there was no problem with V7. Colin Bannister |
