Default Scripts and Fonts - 11-16-2005 , 04:22 PM

Is there an instruction that allows you to set font, font size, and
attribute by using a Srcipt button.

The reason I ask is that I want to extract information and place it in
a field and rarely does that come in the same font as what I am working
it. The script would set font characterists, check spelling, format
the abreviations, etc. with one button.

You don't say what version you're using, so I'll assume 7/8.

Look at the Text Formatting functions in Help, which will allow you to
do everything you're asking.

Write a script to perform the functions on a field, assign a button to
perform that script. Done.

(If you're using 6 or earlier, you're out of luck.)

PS: I didn't mean to give the impression that Text Formatting would
handle spell-checking. There's an entire category of script steps thatr
will cover that for you.
