You shouldn't need to export the records at all. Instead you can use a
script (or perform it manually) in the new version of the files to
import the data directly from the old version of the same file.
Note:
In older versions of FileMaker the user (or a script) needs to open the
old version of the file first and perform a Show All Records. If they
don't the the Import command will only import the records in the Found
Set. This has evidently been changed in newer versions of FileMaker (7
and 8?) where the Import command will import all the records, as long
as the source file is not already open. If it is open only the Found
Set records will be imported.
