Default Runtime under parallells XP VM - 01-12-2007 , 05:41 PM

Hi All,

Finally have successfull runtime creation under Parallels happening

OS X.4.8 (iMac 24) , FM8A v3, Parallels beta 3120 win XP SP2

Previously the runtimes would create and run under the XP Virtual
Machine, but after getting it on to DVD from Toast on the mac, the copy
to an actual pc box would fall over; yes numerous runtime and burn
tests, and yes different pc boxes.

the process:
create FM User/Data data separation file pair
create runtime on xp vm
burn iso img (Nero 5.5; need later version for dvd)
drag iso img file to mac desktop
burn cd of iso img in Toast 7.1.2
verify's ok
copy image to pc ok
runtime will not launch: select enclosing folder, properties; uncheck
read only and apply to all enclosed files & folders
at last! (it has taken some time)

Yet to run this on a largish solution (6GB) and via dvd

My NG reading is infrequent these days, so don't know how much posting
there may have been on this. Where is the archive location these days -
Harry?

regards

Chris

I don't know that there's ever been an archive as such, but the free
Groups.Google.com has a longer retention time than most Internet
providers do (that's regular login ISPs, not actual news service
providers).
